Sweater Dresses under $100

Sweater Dresses under $100

It’s finally sweater (dress) weather and y’all I can barely contain my excitement!! Now I’m sure you’re like, but wait, Sarah - don’t you live in South Florida? Haha yes, I do and the temperatures are still in the 80s down here, but nonetheless here we are. A few of these photos were actually taken when Fred and I traveled to New York City last month and the weather there was perfectly crisp and I was very excited to finally get to wear all the fall accessories (suede boots, scarves and wool hats) as well as some sweater dresses!

I wanted to do a round up with some of my recent purchases & also thought it would be fun to throw it back with two from last year that I still love! Although this post says “under $100” most of these are actually under $50 and as always, if for whatever reason the exact dress I’m wearing isn’t available I always do my best to link other options that are similar. Without further ado, let’s get down to business!

This first dress is an Amazon find and y’all it’s good!! I love that it’s an oversized fit (which would be perfect for Thanksgiving if you want to hide your full belly after devouring all the delicious food and maybe one too many bites of pie). The turtleneck isn’t tight, which gives it a bit of a relaxed look, but the best part is it has pockets y’all!! I dunno what it is about a dress with pockets, but I love them!

The next dress is this olive green “backless” dress from Lulus (one of my go to online retail shops). If you’re a tall gal like myself (I’m 5’9) I would recommend to size up in this dress as their dresses (sweater or not) tend to run a little on the shorter side. This dress is also a great option for Thanksgiving - in fact this photo is from Thanksgiving last year with my family in Oklahoma.

The “little black dress” of Fall/Winter could easily be this sweater dress. I love that it has a slit on the side to give it a sexier look. The material is super soft and has a good bit of stretch to hug your curves in all the right places! I paired it with these super fun tortoise heel booties. I’m also excited to share this bottega veneta bag dupe I found on Amazon. The faux leather is so buttery that you would never know it’s faux and you can’t beat the inexpensive price tag.

This burnt orange dress was a favorite of mine from last year. I actually shared this dress during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year and y’all LOVED it, so I wanted to include it again. Although I haven’t been able to find this exact dress in stock recently, I found one very similar here. I also saw that these Jeffrey Campbell pointed toe booties are back in stock at Nordstrom (the best department store IMO because they ALWAYS have free shipping AND free returns).

Speaking of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, this white Leith sleeveless sweater dress was one of my favorite purchases from this year’s event. Once again it’s been a hot seller and rarely stays in stock for long, but I found a super similar dress from Petal & Pup which if you’re not familiar with is this online boutique; you’ve got to check them out! They have so many great dresses & their prices are reasonable. I will say though, because this store is based in Australia, the shipping can take a little longer (for my USA gals at least). While we were in New York I paired it with a duster cardigan, this plaid blanket scarf and a wool fedora for some extra warmth.

If you’re a long time reader of mine you might recall this red turtleneck sweater dress from this post last year. Although I wanted to share this dress again for my new readers, I chose to style it differently as well. These white booties were certainly a spontaneous purchase for me, but I have enjoyed styling them in ways I didn’t think were possible.

Last but certainly not least, we have this gray puff sleeve sweater dress. Not only am I absolutely loving the puff sleeve trend (maybe it’s because I’m an 80s baby) but the tied back detail is different and fun as well. I paired it with this fiddler fisherman hat, black faux suede knee high boots, and a black top handle handbag from Amazon. I actually wore this dress in New York as well but paired it with my black over the knee boots instead for a little more warmth.
