Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Fred and I traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico from March 1 - 5th where I was the matron of honor in one of my best friends’ wedding! I was very excited to not only celebrate this amazing couple but also explore a new part of Mexico.

We stayed at an all inclusive resort called Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach which was an absolutely stunning (and very large) property right on the beach.

I spent the day before the wedding relaxing by the pool with the rest of the bridal party & bride to be 😊.

The wedding ceremony and reception were both held outside and it was absolutely picturesque. It was also nice that my mom & stepdad were invited to the wedding and we got to spend some quality time with them as well.

When researching things to do in Cabo, we continually came across whale-watching excursions. Fred is the ultimate sea life lover so we knew this was definitely going to be an activity we wanted to do. We booked our 2-hour tour through Trip Advisor with a company called Whale Watch Cabo. We chose this company/tour because they guaranteed that you would see whales, and it was also on a small boat with a maximum of only 10 passengers (including our guide and boat captain).

The tour began in the marina and took us by Lovers Beach and The Arch of Cabo San Lucas before heading a little further into the ocean to try and see some whales. I will say the first hour and a half of the tour was pretty slow and we only saw maybe 4 whales, but the last 30 minutes of the tour was definitely a grand finale! There were a few adults and a baby humpback whale swimming together and the baby whale continuously breeched the water. It was such a site to see and especially being that close to them! Our tour guide took the photos I have shared in this blog post, but if you want to see the real action in video form check out our vlog on my YouTube Channel here.

After the tour concluded, we were hungry for some lunch and wanted to try out a place that our driver had recommend to us called The Office. It was definitely a scenic restaurant and we sat on the beach - literally our table was in the sand. I will say, though, if you visit here during the month of March, beware that it is definitely a spring break vibe. The food and cocktails were tasty but also very overpriced.

One of the great things about staying at Pueblo Bonito resorts is that they have a complimentary shuttle to/from their sister properties. Since our whale watching tour was at the Marina, we were able to take the shuttle to one of their other properties - Pueblo Bonito Rosé Resort & Spa which was just a short 10-minute walk to the downtown area of Cabo San Lucas (where the marina is located). While we were waiting for our shuttle back to our resort we walked around the Rosé property and snapped this OOTD. Although this was also a beautiful property, I personally preferred the Sunset Beach Resort that we stayed at because it is larger and has more amenities (i.e multiple pools and restaurants).

I hope that you enjoyed this post and that it is helpful if you’re planning a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We certainly enjoyed our trip there!
