As some of you may already know, I am a flight attendant for a major US airline. The pandemic has had a severely negative impact on the aviation industry and during the first week of September I was informed that I will be furloughed from my job as of October 3rd. This news was devastating to me because this career has been my dream job since I was hired back in 2013. I have been fortunate to travel to over 36 countries, learn about different cultures, try some of the most exquisite cuisine, and have met many amazing people along the way. This job brought me to Florida, which has been a dream in itself to live only a mile from the beach. I’ve been fortunate to check so many things off my bucket list, including going to the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, getting to spend NYE in New York City and see the ball drop in Times Square at Midnight with my girlfriends, swam with sting rays in my favorite Caribbean island - Grand Cayman, and even take a 10 day vacation with the love of my life to Italy! This job has truly helped open my eyes to so many new experiences, and I’ve made so many wonderful memories over the last 7 years. I am confident that I’ll be recalled to fly again soon (fingers crossed) and this isn’t goodbye, but just “see you later”. To my fellow stews, keep your heads up!!

A few weeks ago I took a poll on my Instagram page to see what kind of content my audience would like to see more of and fashion inspiration was the top answer by far. With that being said, I’m going to be posting more of that type of content here on my blog as well. I also know many people aren’t doing a lot of traveling right now because of the pandemic; so even though I have some travel guides that I had been meaning to upload, I think it’s best to postpone those for now!

I would also like to take a moment to thank everyone who has shopped through my links in the past and those that will continue in the future. I do make a small commission when you shop directly through my links and during this time of uncertainty with my job, I am so grateful for your support!

I’m also hoping to put together some gift guides for the upcoming holiday season, so please leave a comment below with what type of gift guides you would like to see. For Example: Gift Guide for Him/her, Gifts Under $100, Hostess Gift Guide, Fitness Gift Guide, Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide, etc.

Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week! =)
